Kalvakuntla Kavitha Opposes Smart Meters in Telangana | Free Electricity Scheme Concerns

Telangana Rakshana Sena Chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha strongly criticized the Revanth Reddy government’s proposed smart meter installation across households in Telangana.

In the press meet, Kavitha raised concerns that the introduction of smart meters could affect existing free electricity schemes, including free power benefits for SC/ST households, salons, and the 200 units free electricity scheme. She also warned that smart meters could lead to increased reliance on prepaid electricity billing, potentially creating an additional financial burden for consumers.
